The children attend school in Stalden. They travel together by train to Kalpetran and then take the train to Stalden, or it takes them about 12 minutes by car to get to school. There is a village store at the top station of the Kalpetran-Embd cable car. Here you will find everything from hiking provisions to all the necessary everyday items.

Popular vacation destinations such as Zermatt, Saas-Fee and Grächen are within easy reach:
